Robotics Lab Procedures For CSC126

 

  1. Materials
    1. Lego Robot with Handy Board
    2. Serial Port Cable and interface board
    3. Software: Interactive ‘C’ version 4
  2. Handling
    1. Be gentle, be careful
    2. When parts are accidentally disconnected, reconnect Lego, connectors
  3. Instructor’s Practice
    1. Borrowing\Returning robots (8am – 5pm) in 1N-218
    2. Sign-out\Sign-in log for robots being borrowed
  4. Lab Classes
    1. Ready-to-use robots are in 5N-105 (work room adjacent to 5N-106)
    2. Use robots in 5N-106 computer lab
    3. At end of class, please return robots to 5N-105 recharging station
  5. Students
    1. Instructors should give detailed orientation to students prior to lab

  1. Recharging Robots
    1. Instructors can recharge robots in 5N-105
    2. Instructors can request recharging service (contact Techs)
  2. Repair
    1. Please complete ‘Repair Form’ and forward to Techs (1N-218)
    2. Techs will service robots
