               Part A. and B. should realize circuits with use of multisims and then hardware.

               The simulation of multisims must match the hardware truth table. 

               For all problems use the 7493 binary counter to implement inputs      

    A.                      74151  8 - 1 MUX

 

                           

 

        Determine the function table for F(A,B,C,D) =    (0,3,5,6,8,9,14,15).

        Realize the circuit using the 74151 (8x1 multiplexer)and verify the function table.

 

 

 

 

    B.                 74154 1-16 Decoder  Outputs Low

 

         Realize the following two circuits making use of the 74154 IC

         and ONE additional IC. Compare the outputs with their function

         table.  Minimize the number of inputs in the external IC.

 

              F (A,B,C) =   (0,3)   &  F (A,B,C) =  (0,1,3,4,5,7)

                              A low turns a segment on.

 

 

         Determine the multi function table for the given specifications.

         Design the BCD to seven segment decoder using the EPROM. Compare

         the outputs of the EPROM with the multi function table. The six

         unused combinations should result in a blank display.  Generate the

         inputs with the use of the 7493 both as a BCD counter and as a 0 to

         15 binary counter.  Alternatively  design a Hex to seven segment

         display.
