Labs will be done using Visual C++ 2010. It can be downloaded from MSDNAA via Quick Link from our departmental homepage www.cs.csi.cuny.edu. Procedures are described under the Services link at the right hand side of the page. This method allows you to download Visual C++ 2010 Express Edition as an ISO file, burn it to a disk and install it. Visual C++ is also usually available at the college library, and may be borrowed for a short time and installed on your home computer. Make sure that you follow the regulations when using the software.

We recommend that Students either download VS 2010 EXPRESS from MSDNAA
or borrow the VS 2010 EXPRESS CD from the CSI Library.

MSDNAA Downloads:
1. VS 2010 PRO can be ordered as a DVD from MSDNAA; but cannot be downloaded.
2. VS 2010 EXPRESS can be downloaded (iso file). The following procedures
  are necessary:
You will need a program which burns images onto CD's. You can download and install this Free Image Burner:

   a.  Burn the VS 2010 Express image (iso file) onto a blank CD
   b. Then insert the CD to install VS 2010 Express
   c. Select (only) VS 2010 C++ Express to be installed.
   d. Restart your computer
