This course introduces various topics in Artificial Intelligence, including search, constraint satisfaction, games, knowledge representation and learning.  In addition to the required text book, various research papers will be assigned for reading.

 

 

Required text book:

 

Artificial Intelligence, A Modern Approach, by Stuart Russel and Peter Norvig (2nd Edition) (ISBN: 0-13-790395-2)

   

 

Grading Policy:

 

3 homework sets/short programming projects: 30%

Review of current research paper (chosen from IJCAI proceedings or other current proceedings with approval of Professor): 10%

Midterm examination:  30%

Final examination: 30%
